French Figural Mantle Clock. Standing spelter figure of a muse holding a lyre to the left and winged putti figure to the right holding an open a book of music, on a marble base with marble clock tower having an arched top. 4 in. porcelain dial has black hour numbers, gilt pierced hands, painted floral garland highlights and hinged brass door bezel with convex crystal; round French brass 8 day spring driven movement signed "Japy Freres", has a cylinder escapement and half hour strike on a bell. Female figure is missing a finger, dial is illegibly signed, movement does not wind and does not run or strike. 19.5 in. high x 15.25 in. wide x 5.25 in. deep.
