Attr. Thomas Weaver, Pennsylvania Shelf Clock. 11 in. painted metal dial with black hour numbers; heavy pierced brass 8 day weight driven movement with hour rack and snail strike on a bell, iron side weights with brass pulleys and brass covered pendulum bob. In a mahogany case with carved jester style crest, large turned acorn finials over turned rosettes, turned maple corner columns over birds eye maple pilaster and turned feet; revere painted tablet and mirrored center panel. Refinished, replaced mirror, repainted tablet, period dial has had arch cut off the top. Accompanied with booklet used for reference "Pennsylvania Clocks, 1750-1850 - A Special Exhibit of the The National Clock & Watch Museum, Columbia, PA" by Carter J. Harris. 42.75 in. high x 18.5 in. wide x 6.75 in. deep. Weight: 45 lbs.
